What is an e-invoice?
An e-invoice is issued, sent and received in a structured electronic format (XML) that enables automatic processing. Unlike a PDF, the data isn't re-keyed by hand — it's read and posted automatically. Croatia relies on the European EN 16931 standard.
Who must issue e-invoices, and from when?
In public procurement (B2G), e-invoices have been mandatory since 2019. For B2B, under the publicly announced Fiscalization 2.0 timeline, VAT payers move to e-invoices from 1 January 2026 and other businesses from 1 January 2027. We recommend confirming the exact deadlines and obligations for your activity.
How Adria ERP helps
Adria ERP generates a valid e-invoice from your existing data, digitally signs it, sends it to the recipient and archives it. It's connected to invoicing and fiscalization, so you don't need a separate service or manual re-entry.
e-Invoices are included in every plan
