How to get a FINA certificate for fiscalization
A digital certificate is your electronic signature towards the Tax Administration. It signs fiscalized receipts and e-Invoices, and your software uses it to talk securely to the tax system. In Croatia it is most often issued by FINA.
Which certificate you need
Fiscalization uses a dedicated application certificate for fiscalization, tied to the taxpayer's OIB. It is not the same as the personal smart-card certificate you use to sign in to ePorezna. If you are unsure which type your scenario needs (for example, for e-Invoices sent through an intermediary), check with FINA or your information intermediary before ordering.
There are also demo certificates for the test environment. They let you try everything without real invoices — switch to the production certificate only when you go live.
How to request it
- Prepare the taxpayer's details: OIB, name, address and the responsible person's details.
- Fill in the request for a fiscalization certificate following FINA's instructions and pay the fee.
- Once processed, you receive the download details — a reference number and an authorisation code, sent through separate channels.
- Download the certificate within the stated period and save it as a password-protected file (.p12 or .pfx).
The procedure, prices and download windows can change — always follow FINA's current instructions.
How to keep it safe
- Back up the file and keep the password separate from it.
- Don't email the certificate or share it with more people than necessary.
- Note the expiry date: an expired certificate means fiscalization stops working.
- If you suspect the certificate is compromised, request revocation straight away.
Loading it into Adria ERP
In settings you upload the .p12 file and enter its password. Adria ERP checks that the OIB in the certificate matches your company, stores the certificate password encrypted and reminds you before it expires — so expiry never catches you mid-working-day.
